Vanilla for iPhone is an application that aims to help parents assign, track and reward the busy schedules of today's students. A software company out of Gainsville, Florida sought Appstronauts to create a brand for the project and design all the interfaces for the iPhone version. To gain traction, students as well as parents had to enjoy using the application. So during name generation
we aimed for the brand identity to have appeal for both sides. That appeal was simple: candy. Vanilla, being a synonym for organized and neat, was the perfect choice. A logo was conceptualized to show both the sweetness of the reward system as well as the progression of the tasks. The color palette aimed at a small, Vermont candy shop in summer time, and all the UX and UI followed suit.
