Tank is an iOS application that displays gas prices based on location or zip code. App Solutely, a San Francisco area startup, approached us to develop an iPhone app to compete with Gasbuddy for customer loyalty. After Product Strategy, we negotiated contracts with OPIS (Oil Price Information Service) and implemented their APIs to update gas prices every time a credit card
was swiped at a station. This created an advantage over crowd sourced versions of other competitors. We created the name, brand and focused heavily on UX and UI work to distinguish Tank in the market. A Pro version was created for that allows users to plan trips and save the best gas stations along the way. The first week Tank was released it was featured by Apple in the App Store.
